Elk & Aura is a small-batch studio for botanical body care and hand-cast objects, based in Calgary, Alberta.
How it began
A simple desire
to slow down
“I started Elk & Aura from a simple desire — to slow down. As a mother and a maker, I was always drawn to the quiet moments at home: warm light, gentle scents, simple rituals that helped me feel grounded.
I searched for products that were natural, comforting and thoughtfully made — things that felt as good to use as they looked. When I couldn’t find them, I began creating them myself, blending oils, scents and textures that brought a sense of balance into everyday life.”

The name
The elk represents resilience and a deep connection to the earth. Aura is the energy we carry within our homes and ourselves. Elk & Aura is where the two meet.

How we make

Small batches
Every oil, balm, soak and scrub is blended, poured and packed by hand in limited quantities — so each one is fresh, and each season brings something new.

Pure ingredients
Plant oils such as jojoba, coconut and evening primrose, mineral-rich salts, shea and mango butters, dried botanicals and pure essential oils.

Made to be used
Pieces that feel as good as they look, meant to become part of a daily ritual — not to sit untouched on a shelf.
